Hi Donna J, do you mean the number indicating the number of notifications that you have? If someone likes one of your posts, or quotes you, you get a number on your notifications. Just open up the Notifications tab and the number should then go. Maybe this is what you mean. regards Louise

I just quoted you on this thread so you can click on Profile up above and see if the Notifications tab gets a (1) on it. You can also change those settings to get notifications by email, as well. Or not. And by the way, I don't know if the Mods set it up this way or not (because it doesn't do it on KFC), but I like the feature that when you quote someone it adds a link to the original post you're quoting. Because it's not always from the same thread, and it could be hard to find the original post without that feature. Hope this helps.

Donna, click on Profile, and you should see the following tabs: Summary, Activity, Following, Friends, Groups, Notifications and Gift. See if one of them now has a (2) by it. I would guess it's Notifications, and that there are two notifications, one saying that Zephryhillsusan quoted you in the thread Profile. You can click on that notification and it will take you to this thread. Not sure what the first one is. It probably says (2) now because I quoted you.

Then you will have to think up a good Easter name for the calf Donna J. If you thought she was due 30th March, maybe she took next heat, so she may be due 20th April, so still an Easter calf. Easter Sunday would be a much nicer day to be born than Good Friday.

Thanks Louise....I really hadn't thought of it being so close to Easter...I was also thinking like you, it must have been the next cycle she took....If she goes any longer I don't know what I will do!...I am going nuts now waiting....I am looking at Maybe Friday...We will see...I'll let ya'll know what happens...Wish me luck on Friday...But I would wait until Easter too...That would be cool...I did have one of our heifers born on Halloween, we named her Candy...And she is the best heifer we have ever had born...She is so friendly...I can do anything with her... And Susan, yes I would take a calf anytime....You girls are the greatest... I really feel so dumb for not being able to figure that "profile "out myself!....I must be blind....DUH!!!!Love ya'll

Hi Donna J,
we must be different with regards to Easter here in Australia. We must celebrate it differently. Easter for us begins on Maundy Thursday, though that day isn't a holiday for us. The holidays here are Good Friday, and Easter Monday, and for some even Easter Saturday is classed as a public holiday.. We get a 4 day long weekend off from work. Religious wise, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and in particularly Easter Sunday are the days.
So roll on Thursday for a long weekend break for us all. I am sooo looking forward to it. I have already planned what fish and seafood I am going to the markets to buy, for dinner on Friday night. I'm planning a feast LOL
regards Louise

Hello Louise....That is nice your having a feast for the holiday... We too have Good Friday but we celebrate Easter on Sunday and usually the tradition is to have a baked ham I love it cooked with pineapple brown sugar and cherries on top....YUM-YUM Have sweet potatoes with marshmallow baked on top.... and green beans and what ever else anyone wants....Can't wait for Easter now....Wish I could have a nice boiled Maine Lobster!...Be sure and take pictures of your feast, I would like to see it.... I have got to start thinking of some names, just IN CASE Sassy decides to calve on Easter.....May need help with this one...If it's a heifer, may name her Easter, but can't think of one name for a bull....It may be steered anyway.... Well Happy Easter and have a great time on your mini vacation....Sincerely....Donna

My daughter says Pac Man. Her logic is that Easter is peaceful and Pax is Latin for peace, which made her think of Pac Man. She's an artist and has unique thought processes. . But she's a darn good milkmaid!

I can't even think of a name for a bull, but for a heifer , "Easter Bunny" or " Easter Bonnet".
Ummm, just thinking, with countries being so different in their traditions, do you guys have the Easter Bunny? and do your children have Easter Bonnet parades?
