I saw your other post about her standing there in the rain where her calf was and wondering whether you should put her in with the others. I'd be afraid the other calf would nurse her, and you don't want that; do you by any chance have a steer or pregnant or dry cow that could be her companion? I'm sending you a big hug! This was such a hard thing to have happen, to you and your poor cow. Shawn said it so well.

Donna: Brayden is doing very well. I'll get my grandkids to do the tech thing with pictures and send you some via e-mail as soon as I can. I think that as soon as he figured out that there were some gals in the neighborhood he probably said to himself, " I think I'm going to like it here". I'll say one thing about him; he's not the least bit shy. If you get my meaning. He's exactly what you expect and hope for in a herd "sire". Can't wait until Feb-March. I can't thank you enough!......Shawn

Thanks Shawn, no hurry on the pictures...Just some time when you think of it and get the chance.....And thanks for your support...Your very kind.... Also Susan, no I don't have anyone I can put Caitriona with...If you read my post on " Chicken Tractor" you will see what happened when I tried putting her in with Sassy & baby Skye....So funny....The other pregnant cows are over on our lease land and Sunshine is over there and I KNOW she would start nursing on her right away...Beside the guy in back is raising some kind of African cows, not sure what kind , but he has young bulls ( yearlys) running with his herd ...He took his grown bull out and pastured him elsewhere....he thinks these young bulls are too young to breed anything....Wrong!...So I just could not take a chance on one jumping the fence and getting Caitriona bred.....I think I have it figured out now...Thanks for the hug, I got it !!LOL....Donna

Thank you Mare....All is pretty well back to normal and I have Catriona in a pen eating hay and water ( poor dear)and baby Skye ( and Sassy) can come up to the gate and say hello...Skye wants so bad to get in with Catriona.....Cats' bag is not going down too quick....She looks so miserable.....Maybe it will decrease in a few more days.....I don't understand why they have not come up with a shot to dry a cows milk up quick like they can with a woman?...Anyone know why?...Thanks again Mare.....
