Hans, that is too funny! I'd have loved to see a photo of him trying to milk that bull!

I once bought two bull calves to become steers from a lady who had wanted heifers so badly. Before I could go get them, she called back and cancelled the sale, because they had both turned out to be heifers! The pee test proved it. You have plenty of company. I know of a Dexter breeder who picked a long yearling bull from a pen of five animals. He and the owner loaded 'him' up and off they went. The trip home was about 6 hours, and around 3/4 of the way home he stopped for gas and checked the animal, only to discover his new bull was a heifer!! He ended up buying a mature bull from someone closer to home..

Poor cat! It's nice when you can visually observe, but there are times that if you really want to know, rather than waiting around watching for them to pee you just have to get your hands under there and see if you can grab anything :-) We're going to a local fair next week, and it always reminds me of the man I saw a couple of years ago explaining to his wife and kids "that is a cow, see the udder?" It was actually a bull...I asked him if he'd like to try to milk the "udder". We did have our hands on him...several times within the first few days (he was less than a day old the first time we checked...maybe it was too early)...but we only checked for testes, not a penis. Yeah, we've always had the opposite..."How come you guys have all bulls?"..."Ummm...none of those are bulls"..."But they all have horns!" It is REALLY hard for a lot of ppl to understand that cows have horns, too...not just bulls!
