What a pretty calf, she looks all tuckered out from her big day.

Lucky Ginny to be back home. I love Rukundo's name, quoted a lot for a little gal to live up to. It looks like she's thinking it over in the last photo.

She is actually Armstrong's first grand-daughter that I own. Her sire was Moonlit Oaks Ciaran, son of Armstrong and Moonlit Oaks April. Her dam, Ginny, has some issues with her udder (which is why I sold her). It will be interesting to see if Rukundo's udder is improved over her dam's. April has a lovely udder and Armstrong's daughters have nice udders, so I hope that she inherits more influence from the bull's side than poor Ginny. You can see poor Ginny's udder in this video. I bought her from another breeder as a young heifer so there was no way to know what kind of udder she was going to have. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nQAy0T3UKA&list=UURJ2YjNTVQ9kMIqwmUJuLLA

Thanks, Gene. I've been watching her for mastitis, but she seems to be fine. She was pretty sore on that teat the first few days because she had a clogged milk duct. I tried to get it flowing again and she hurt. I think baby can fit her mouth on it now, so she should be emptying it. Yep, Donkeyotee wants to play with the new baby.

Pretty little heifer. Sounds like her mama has found her home.

Yes, she has. Any heifers will be carefully watched for udder improvements and bull calves will become steers, but she has a home.
