Just wanted to say Hi. My DW and I retired 4 years ago and have made an offer on a home with 8 acres/water rights in Idaho. We will be asking alot of questions prior to getting our first Dexters.

Welcome. What part of Idaho are you in? My wife's family is all from around Twin Falls, Buhl area. Water rights would be a must over there I would think, so good luck with the offer.

Welcome! You've come to the right place to ask questions! We have rancher relatives in West Texas, so we know what a big deal water is out West.

The place is just outside of Jerome about 7 miles from twin falls. Our offer has been accepted and the current owners have agreed to stay on the place and keep the fields watered until fall. DW and I have been camp host managers since retirement and had already agreed to another year prior to finding this place....We were just looking while selling our homes, but this property is everything we wanted. Nice home with basement, pre-established fields and fencing, 100+ trees including fruit and english walnut. It's not often I feel this way, but I sure wish I could go back on my word, but wasn't raised that way:(
