I've got more calves on the way on my little homestead, so I'm looking to make some room. I've got 3 girls I'm willing to move along. I may keep one for beef in the fall- the heifer fairy has been a little too generous for me (subsequently, I may also consider a trade for a nice dexter steer). Up for consideration are: Bietschehof Cranberry- Black, partially dehorned cow, in both ADCA and Legacy. She IS a PHA carrier, but tests chondro free. 4 years old in November, MAY be bred back, I've not had her checked. Her calf still nurses and she's had very minimal milking introductions- her udder is okay, but teats aren't spaced nicely and a bit short. She will need electric fence as she doesn't respect other fencing. She's had plenty of experience tethering and spent last summer moving tree to tree in my parents yard. Simple Juniper Berry (Junie B.)- Black, dehorned heifer, in both ADCA and Legacy. Daughter of Cranberry, tests free of PHA and obligate free of Chondro. born 6/1/14. Simple Zelda- Black, dehorned heifer, unregistered but purebred. Her dam is my milk cow and has a decent udder and nice, well spaced teats. Obligate Chondro free and PHA free. Born 4/29/14. Half sister to Junie B. I'm in Western New York (Sinclairville- between Jamestown, NY and Fredonia, NY). I'm linking to my craigslist ad for some additional info and photos: chautauqua.craigslist.org/grd/4927117911.html Please feel free to get ahold of me for more details, pictures, etc.
