I normally don't bother with harmless critters but these little guys are adding up some damage. .22 rat shot is doing the trick as they hover in one place for a few seconds. They seem to be on the increase up here in the Northeast. I assume in warmer climes they are worse??

When I was a kid I used a tennis racquet. I could make them fly.

They are trying their best to destroy our cow barn. It's an open, shed-row type barn and you can see their holes everywhere. I'm going to be looking for some traps this weekend or some directions to make my own...

get some hornet and wasp spray the stuff with the long stream. I would try to keep the cows away from it not sure how poisonous it is.

Here's a YouTube video to make a carpenter bee trap. A friend of mine has made several of these and says they really work. I think I'll ask for a couple for Mother's Day!
