Hey Fran are you and your animals ok? Anyone heard from her? I saw she logged into the site so that's good news. Hoping you are doing well but let us know.

I checked up on her on our Region FB page, and they're fine, midhilldexters. She said they're up on a hill. However, she said her boss has been to some of the stricken areas and the photos in the news don't do justice to it.

Hi Guys, Sorry, I should've said something earlier! We are an hour northwest of Columbia. We got 7.48 inches from Friday thru Sunday at my house - with 4 of those coming in Saturday night/Sunday morning. We are way up on a hill (if my house floods, we're in some serious trouble!). Our little creek came all the way up to my very back corner fence post but that was it. My boss was in Columbia over the weekend for a conference and he said they had a 7pm-7am curfew there. Actually had highway patrol parked at entrance to hotel not allowing anyone to leave. He said the pictures don't do it justice, it was way worse. I couldn't imagine!!! Thanks to all of you for thinking of us. Linda Stephen and Bo Gregory are in Newberry and probably had it worse than us. Cindy Coombs is down below Columbia and had it a lot worse. Also, I would love to hear from Will Gregorie at Oakland Cattle Company - he is in Charleston area. I hope and pray that he, his family, and their animals are okay!!! I would've got on here yesterday but I was doing inventory and managed to let a 40lb. wooden training box fall on my right foot. Doc says maybe a small chip. What is it with me and my feet? Thanks guys!!! Fran

Ouch, Fran! Sorry to hear about your foot. Please don't get near any cattle with it, because it would be like a magnet, just asking to be stepped on! It's really bad when something happens to your feet or legs, because it's hard to do anything without them.

Thanks, Susan. For some reason my cows seem to go out of their way to step on my feet. I think when I wear out my current muck boots, my next pair will be steel-toed muck boots.

Fran, thanks for thinking of us. We are fine. A couple of fences down. One left to repair.
