The girls have settled in nicely. I missed them and they seem to be happy being home. Armstrong has already ensured they will contribute to the next generation. I have a quandry though, because my husband and I need to move closer to town, which means we can only keep a few cows. If the right home come along, I would be willing to sell them as trained milkers. They must stay together, though. It will take us a year or so to find a place, so no hurry. I probably won't see their calves, but as long as they get a good home, it'll be okay.

littlecowfl, I'm sorry you won't be able to keep the girls and that you have to move and downsize, but I'm sure you'll find them a great home!

Update!
Tina went to awesome home with the bull. Great lady that really appreciates her cuddliness.
Tara's home didn't work out, so, guess what? Yep, I failed again, lol! She comes home Sunday, for good.
Meanwhile, we cleared the new property, the perimeter fence is done, and we have the herd at a good size for the move (including Tara). The house design is complete and we're hoping to break ground later this month. We are planting pastures when the rains come in May/June. The cows will move sometime this summer or early fall to a sacrifice area until the pasture takes hold. We should have the barn roof up, at least. If we have to slowly build the interior of the barn, we will over time, but they will have shelter right away.

Glad to hear you are moving forward! Sounds like you have a plan and are working toward it. Doesn't sound like failure to me

Aww, thanks. Tara is out with the herd now and everyone seems content.
