We have been raising Polled Registered Dexters for 4 years. Our two goals for our herd was to have polled dexters and focus on high quality to advance the breed characteristics. My grandfather was an integral piece of advancing the Holstein breed throughout the US. Thanks to Carol K getting me started a couple years ago we have a polled herd started with great traits already. Our family's dream is to use the land that had been used during my youth as a dairy farm, to raise a herd of 50 or more high quality Dexters. We sold one registered bull calf via Craigslist, but have one currently that I have listed here, Craigslist, and trying to get it on ADCA. He is a gem!

Welcome, cobrien! You have a great mentor in Carol K! How nice that you have a family farm to start with--and it sounds like some experience with cattle, too.

Where about in NY are you? I'm about 30 minutes south of Rochester.

I'm familiar with Hornell. We've been down there for football and basketball games a few times.
