I noticed some new members and would like to welcome you to the Irish Dexter Cattle forum started by Olga Penka way back when This forum at one time was the hottest ticket around until Facebook came into being. Now FB is starting to upset some folks by putting restrictions on selling animals and this forum was mentioned by Donna Jenkins as a place she was coming back to. There is tons of information here, plus it is a lot easier to find. You will see many of the same people here that are also on FB. The one big disappointment I have noticed is that all the pictures that were once shown are no longer available which is really a shame Besides that it is a GREAT place to talk Dexters. So without further ado, it might be nice to start with a introduction or reintroduction about yourself. herd name, FB name (if different) Have fun folks, so let's get this forum up and running again. Just one more bit of information about this forum. It started in 2007 that's a long time ago.
As you can see I like playing with colors

WOOHOO Just noticed that 512 guests visited the board today. Ask questions everyone, we might not know it all but there's someone on here that, might be able to help you. Need to sell a Dexter, no problems on this board. There's even a designated area for it called the "Auction Barn". Barb

Hi everybody. It has probably been over a year since I last visited here. Used to be a daily lurker before FB snagged me. None of you would have known me since I never posted just read a ton of stuff. But this is where I started my education on Dexter Cattle thanks to so many of you. It feels good to say hello knowing many of you now! Hopefully I will be back here more frequently. Cheryl

Hi there! Great idea to reintroduce folks. I didn't know the history of this board. Thanks! We are Moonlit Oaks Ranch, but we are moving a bit north into town. I don't think we will change our farm name, though. We'll see. We also take care of two cows for our church. So far, they have one cow and one little heifer calf. The heifer will have a different herd name.

Hello everyone. Taking Barb's suggestion and reintroducing. Jeff Chambers here and we have the Silver Maple Dexters herd in Nebraska. I went back and looked and we first joined this board in 2007 Silver Maple Dexter introductionOlga started this board and many folks came over from the Dakodan board....sheesh its been a long time. We've had Dexters since 2000 so are now in our 20th year of Dexterdom. We are still using our cattle as functioning dual-purpose cattle that provide meat and milk for our table. Jeff M.
