This is Miss Violet, she is now a month old. She was sired by our Dexter Bull. I think she is so cute. She is a Hereford Dexter cross Holly

I'm impatiently waiting for this April/May for our herefords to freshin... They've too been bred by our dexter bull. Cant wait for the outcome. I wonder if the black is always dominant over the brown of the hereford. And did i read somewhere that if the heifer/cow is polled, that the polled gene from the mother would be more dominant that non-polled from the bull???
Doesnt matter to me either way, just curious.
Congrats on the calve, she is adorable!!

northshoretrapper~ I have seen them in red or black....I am excited for you. Please post pictures when the babies are born.
I will let you know if this calf is polled or not. She belongs to my girl friend, who owns the Hereford. I know that the mother is polled and my Dexter bull is not.
Can't wait to see what you get
My friend thinks they should be called Hexters ~ I call them Dexfords... ;D
