This is our second calf for the year. Bull calf. We have never had a dun this dark before not sure where that comes from or if it will stay that dark chocolate dun color. Does anyone know what lines have that shade of dun in them?   |

Hi dexterfarm, nice looking little bull! I've had 2 of the chocolate variety, but neither stuck! This is Buck either the day he was born or a couple days later. You can see him now in the fresh grasses thread I started.  The year before him his mom had a heifer that was so dark I named her Cocoa...here she is now  Both their dam is SSR Miss Scarlett L01319MH-09HH & both were sired by Aukum Ridge Gunner PDCA 206509 if you want to see lines. My bull has kept his dark brown color. So far his calves have been pretty dark but don't know if they still are.

I had a chocolate heifer, our very first calf from Legend Red Maximus...We named her Kacie.....She did not stay chocolate, she is a honey colored dun now at over two years old....Her dam was a black cow , sire was red...(Max).....Too bad they would stay the chocolate color....Dexterlady

Rhonda, do you have any pictures of your chocolate bull....I really like the chocolate color...Looks kinda neat...Dexterlady

Wow I love that shade of colour. Cute looking calf too.

I do know of one very nice looking adult chocolate color dun bull. I cant post any pictures he is not mine.
