Hi farmermom. I doubt you'd find much argument here about the importance of sanitation when milking for human consumption. You make an important point. That aside... Louise, I just can't tell you how many chuckles I got out of the image of you trying to squirt milk in your mouth! What may be more amusing is the fact that you told on yourself ! My mom can't seem to help telling on herself about some of the silly things that she does. We usually get to laughing so much about the fact that she can't help telling on herself that the "silly thing" isn't nearly as funny as her tattling! Too funny

Hi Louise, no I haven't milked my cow yet...I am trying to decide when would be a good time to do it and I will have to keep the calf away overnight...It will be cold again in the morning 25degrees, so I guess I will wait for warmer weather to try it....This cow is very nervous so she may not even let me milk her, I don't know yet...Her calf is only a little under 2 months old so I still have time...But I am getting awful anxious to try it...Not that I have not milked before, I just haven't ever tasted A2-A2 milk...I want to see if it taste any different...I also want to make some butter...My son-in-law thinks I am nuts for wanting to make my own butter...He will be laughing on the other side of his face when he has to pay almost $3.00 a pd. for butter and I made mine free!...I'll show him!.....That is one of the reasons I have just got to find the time to try this....I also need to buy some of those wipes to clean the udder with.... And I can't believe that vet saying that about milk sharing....What does she think the old farmers did way back when?...She must have stock in store milk! LOL....DJ
