Ok, you convinced me to test Marion...actually we have so many Dexters and test so much that I think we get Christmas cards from UCDavis and they may even be considering conferring an honorary doctorate degree or naming their new lab wing after us Hans

Hmm, my pics are top and bottom, so I would say bottom pic is a carrier, top pic I'm hesitant about so I'm going to say could be a non carrier. On Hans' bull even though Hedgehog is present I would still say carrier. Good learning game.

I'll play, too. Not sure on the heifers, but my guess on Hans' bull is chondro positive. That was a fun kink to throw Hedgehog III in the works!

Better late than never, my guess on Hans bull would be carrier.

hey, Hans, is it possible to breed out that navel flap? I see it more and more these days, and I was thinking it's something to work away from. There's a winning Dexter bull with a really bad one, almost looks indicus, and no one seems to comment. cheers, c.

My non-intelligent guess on the heifers is positive...but they don't look extreme. Kind of like how Susan's bull Wellie was described. Gotta say pos on Hans' bull too, mostly because I've got a bull out of a HH3 daughter as well and he looks so much different. All nice looking animals

We'll be working on it Carol, though the other pictures I have of him it doesn't look as pronounced. We won't have him until Saturday when we pick him up so it's going to take a while before we have anything on the ground out of him that can be well evaluated. I'll get some good photos when he arrives, and the UCDavis testing will commence, though I know he's black and horned.

Okay, Carol K, I'll split the difference for you. Still not sure on the first one (I'd like to see a full side view with her looking forward), but I'll guess yes on the second one.

I would say "yes" tooth of them , although the black one is harder to tell for me....I would say definite yes on the "black bull with the horns"...The heifers faces look too short, skull looks wide, with small noses...Also the area between the hoof and the first joint looks too short.....( Cannon bone)...Be really interesting how the turn out...I just went back and looked both again, black one I might be wrong, her cannon bone looks a bit longer than the dun...Really can't see the bulls' leg all the way down to his hoof....JMHO
