This is Shome Braeburn our 14 month old bull. He's dun and polled. I had him leading on a halter in the spring but he's been in the pasture since then. He's been breeding at least a couple of the cows even though he's shorter than them. What do you think of him? I posted many new pictures on our photo album on our website. www.franciscanfamilyfarms.com

Does anyone else have pictures of bulls at this age? It's hard for me, as a newbie, to imagine how he might develop over the next year or more.

As a 14 month old he looks very nice and should fill out and become more bully. If you want to calculate the height he will reach there is a height prediction in the downloads section of www.info.dexterbeefonline.co.uk. Measurement is at the hip.

Clive, I'd love to see more pictures of your cattle. Do you have any on other boards that you could link to?

Hi, I have some new pics at www.broomcroftreds.co.uk. I was going to put a load of pics on this site but it's been raining so much I haven't got round to it. I've tried to find pics of yearling bulls but haven't got any. I will try and get some if it stops raining and post them. There's also a site showing the Woodmagic herd at www.woodmagicphotos.co.uk. Woodmagic has been a closed herd for 60 plus years.

Is there supposed to be more than one picture on the Woodmagic page?

I was able to see at least 60 pictures on the Woodmagic herd site, just clicked on slide show.
Clive, I noticed that some of your reds have black noses, my personal favorite.

Yep, there's loads of photos on the Woodmagic site. It may not work with all browsers...don't know? You should be able to play a slide show.

There we go... It didn't work in Firefox.. just didn't show anything past the text at the top. But it works in the new google Chrome browser. Sorry, I never use explorer... I think I deleted it. lol
Some of those bulls have little bitty horns, just like one of my cows. Is that scurs? or is it what's left after attempting to dehorn? or just the kind of horns they have?

They just look like leftover bits after dehorning to me.
