Hi All,
Does anyone have some plans for the building of a simple milking bail to contain cow during milking?
Thanks

Kimberly posted a link to the plans for one last summer for me. You could try a search and see if the link is still available. Try googleing stanchion, the same plans came up.
That is a good looking milking station, nice and strong, what a great hubby.

Here is a picture of our super simple milking head gate. It works fine and was built from used/scrap fence brace material.

The diagonal post on the left has a bolt through the bottom that it pivots on and is held to the stationary post on the right with a light weight lamp type chain that hooks over two nails. The light chain can break in an emergency. We only use this for milking, all doctoring is done in a real squeeze with a real head gate.
