Thanks for bearing with me figuring out this photo thing! - Here is front view of bull calf born to teenie tiny Tiger Lily. He out weighed his non carrier dun half brother born 4 days earlier by 10 pounds at birth ( but now he seems stockier by the day. See next post further down for side view and dun bull calf in background.

Shortlegs have a shorter cannon bone which is the length between the knee and foot. Looking at your calf. I would have to say the it is a long leg.
The other thing that I find that gives the shorties away is the head. All my short legs have a slight disk in the face which does not appear to be carried onto non short off spring.

Very interesting stuff guys. Thanks! I'm trying to find a photo of his dam, Tiger Lily, to see about the "disked" face. I think I know what you're talking about....(I'm having fun with the photo thing, can you tell? )
