Hedgehog 4th is 8 years old now and I have decided to keep a son from him out of the lovely old cow above, Nutlin Ginger Spice VG88. She was 17 years old when she was classified, just after this pic was taken. My young bull is behind her, his name is Duffryn Bevis he was born last year in July, I shall post a pic of him underneath, he will also be collected like his dad at UK Sires and his first calf is due this January.
He looks quite like his dad did at this age, this pic was taken in September when I had an Open Day. The photographer was excellent and did a wonderful job although he doesn't know anything about cattle.

P.S. The reason there is a collar around his neck is that I thought I would be REALLY clever and put big numbers for everyone to know which animal they were looking at, we put them on - on Thursday and the Open Day was Saturday, using a back foot to paddle at the numbers, all but one animal had removed them by Saturday morning!!!

Thanks for sharing Hedgehog's ongoing saga, including that of his son, stephanie. I look forward to hearing about Duffryn Bevis' first calf. Good luck with the collection process! Your collar story is quite funny. Obviously your cattle wanted to be more than a number!
