Just thought I'd let you see how my shed is coming along. It's 32' long by 16' deep. I started on the roof today. Didn't want anybody to think I'd given up on my Dexters! This year a shed, next year the fencing! [/img] So, what do you think? Will it work? So far I've done it all by myself. I've never built anything bigger than a doghouse, so this is quite an accomplishment for me.

Thanks to both of you. Windmill, my next one will be so much nicer than this one. I've learned SO much building this. Barb, that green grass is what I'm hoping is going to keep my Dexters fat and happy!

If the next one is nicer I might have to come up to stay awhile. Heated during the summer and air conditioned during the winter.

Heated during the summer and air conditioned during the winter. Got that right! Hey, when you come, bring Febe with you and just drop her off. Love the pics of that little girl!

She is the most feminine little thing I have ever seen for a heifer. She reminds me of my youngest daughter when she was 3-4. Always dressing up and prancing around.

Great job - looks like they will be staying at the Hilton! If you have a tractor and a plan to use field fence allow me to recommend an unroller/stretcher attachment. We just finished fencing our pasture and it was definitely worth the money! Theoretically it makes fencing a one person job, although having two or more folks makes the job go a lot faster. Tractor supply carries them, and if you don't have a TSC around (we don't) check out the this one by Tarter. I had to have my local supplier special order it for me. The plan was to sell it when we were done with it, and we have a couple of folks that want it. But after a couple of days of using it hubby thinks it would be worth keeping around just in case we want to do more fencing.

If you have a tractor and a plan to use field fence.... Wish I did have a tractor. No, this will be, as Genebo calls it. "sweat equity" all the way through. Builds character, right?!?!?! Please tell me it does!

Even with a tractor to help it builds character and vocabulary! Especially when the other side of the area being fenced has blackberries and Hawthorne trees that you can't cut back.

Wow, think how many Dexters you could get in a shed like that! You will be ok when you get the CALPC syndrome. (cows are like potato chips) ;D

CALPC syndrome. (cows are like potato chips) ;D So THAT'S what it is! I've seen mention of CALPC so may times on the KFC and even HT sites, but I never knew what it was! Well, yes, there is lots of room in that shed, but I'm already wishing it was bigger! And it's not even finished!

Marion, Thanks muches, I had no idea what CALPC meant either.
Maybe we should make our own up and use it on other boards to see what happens. ;D
