She looks like a real sweet girl, Donna. Congratulations again. Do you always tag and tattoo so young? It seems it would make sense to do it like that. Anyone else? Thanks for posting these Susan

Very adorable!! I love the red too! I am working on getting a red heifer to breed to our red bull this spring. Keeping my fingers crossed everything works out. We tag our calves early too. It's easier when they are small.

Thanks everyone for the congrats...This one is a sweetie...Yesterday she finally realized I wasn't going to hurt her and stood right beside me while I pet and loved on her....ssrdex, yes I try to tag just as soon after birth as I can...As pinevalleydexters said, it is so much easier to handle them at that age....Since my husband has Alzheimers, I have to do things as easy as I can....He would not be able to hold a rowdy older calf...These little ones he can...He doesn't always understand what he is doing....But we together , get the work done....

I can handle mine too now, I agree once they realize we have nice touches they let you pet and scratch them.

pinevalleydexters...I think it is so cute when they stretch their neck out and up in the air for you to scratch all the way down their neck.....Skye is just a little toot!...She has those funny looks....When I got done scratching her the other day, she gave me that look like she wanted to say" Is that all I get?">>>LOL...She is such a cute calf, cute personality...I wish I had ten just like her and Candy....I love playing with them....
