We finished our two steers on grass this year and they were slaughtered on the farm Friday morning. A little bittersweet. The bitter was that they were a couple of gentle goofs that loved a good scratch and I'll miss them. The sweet? They hung at 480 and 495 lbs at 27 months. They came from good stock, sired by Cascades Bracken, but those weights tell me that my rotational grazing and pasture improvement work is paying off. RIP Henry and Victor, thanks boys! Attachments:

They look like two goofs playing king of the hill, lol. Congratulations on your weights. It does indeed sound like your work is paying off.
