Looks like we might have to wait until next year to breed her as well. One of us had to have surgery, so were down a hand on the farm. Reckon that's life though. She's a real character, very bossy, and her boy there Doug is pretty mellow, easy to deal with, since we made him a steer. He's still getting mom's milk, so we hope he'll be pretty tasty next year.

We've got cows just like that in our herd Biscuit, and I think they're our best breeders. They just get on with it and got enough milk for 3 calves at a time!

Change of plans as of talking to the gal we rent our bulls from yesterday. Looks like Rambling Bob'll be out end of Oct. to try for another breeding. There's a picture of him in the latest ADCA Dexter magazine that just came out. Boy has he turned into a good looking bull. We talked it over and just couldn't wait another season with her empty.
Thanks Clive... really looking forward to seeing what kind of mom she is with her 2nd calf...
