Beth has a nice healthy, A2/A2 bull calf. He appears to be polled, chondro, and could carry dun - testing will tell. I had requested a shorty heifer. Seems Beth prefers bull calves. I realized she was in labor (due the 10th) and by the time I got back to the barn pasture he'd been born. Gotta love these easy calving girls

Congratulations! Even if it is a bull at least it's healthy!

Congratulations! Is it just me or does it seem to be a "bull" year out there....

Well... I don't mind if they are all bulls this year if Alice gives me a heifer. I really want a heifer out of her... she's next and due any day. Then the rest of year can be bulls because we need more steers. ;-)

Congratulations! Is it just me or does it seem to be a "bull" year out there.... I agree Fran, it sure looks like a bull year. We had 3 heifer calves 2 Bulls this year. I have noticed a lot of people on the other sites I am on on posting bull calf births.

We had 2 bull calves and 1 heifer born this past fall and then 2 heifers and 1 bull born this spring. Sheri, I wish we had a better market for the steer calves!!
