packed, last Dexter gone, sheep go tomorrow, hay too, koi go tomorrow morning. Fifth wheel set up, no power for six weeks, generator for emergencies, big propane tank ordered, candles and matches ready, laptop for internet cafe's, probably eight months of roughing it, it's been a slice.
cheers, c.

When will you be set up in your new place? No livestock? That will be sad!

Wait what?! Where are you going? I haven't been following this board for a bit so point me in the right direction if you've already explained all of this. Otherwise, please elaborate!

and they talk about buyer beware! sometimes it should be seller beware!
buyers for the farm didn't want any sheep (around 70), so I started arrangements to sell them off. Then buyer wanted 15 and a ram, then shortly after, they were here to see how things worked (well, septic, farm equip, etc), took a close look at the sheep and decided to take them all, we'd settle up at changeover. Oh Goody. That was 6 weeks ago.
The deal closes this coming Tuesday.
Last Wed they contacted me and said they didn't want any sheep after all, nor any hay or portable livestock panels, anything left of the farm when they took over Sept. 30 was theirs.
PANIC!!!!!
On Thurs I found someone who was VERY interested, and wanted the hay and some of the panels, too, they could come over from Vancouver on Saturday and pick up then...
On Friday I phoned to confirm details, hubby not in, he'd be back around 4, she'd get him to call me then...
No call, no reply to my messages, no show on Saturday.
Anyone want $10,000 worth of sheep cheap? Just be here before the end of today (Sunday) to pick them up, will you. The panels and hay are already set for pickup on Monday, and I can't manage the sheep without the panels so the sheep have to go first.
Given the timing, the real estate agent thinks this was all planned. Nice people. She emailed them Sat a.m. to remind them the sheep were here because they had committed to them, I couldn't get them gone until Oct 15 at the latest. No response.
What a bunch of thingies.
But, Carol, other than that, thanks for the kind thoughts.

What a bummer, cddexter, and yes, it sounds like they thought they figured out a way to get some cheap (free) sheep and farm equipment! Don't you wish people could just be straight up?
