People arrived between 1pm and 6pm, some just had a quick look at the cattle and had to go, others stayed for the food and entertainment in the evening. We had a harpist and an Irish Duo...seemed appropriate, it was good fun and the last folks left at 2.30...am!
Above, Gary my stockman stuffs suckler rolls into the waiting mouth of Woodmagic Murrelet, an older cow at 14 and a recent acquisition, she calves to Duffryn Bevis at the end of January 2016.
This is Dingestow Motacil, fully Woodmagic blood - bought at the same time as Murrelet, she is a heifer and now in calf to Woodmagic Hedgehog 4th.
A head shot of "himself" Woodmagic Hedgehog 4th, now 8 and a half years old. Bored with it all and waiting for everyone to go!
Above Woodmagic Mallard 8th very friendly cow.
This heifer above is out of Nutlin Ginger Spice, so she isn't pure Woodmagic, in fact she is by Butterbox Morris.
My young bull Duffryn Bevis with in the middle Woodmagic Petrel at 17 and a half and Duffryn Skylark, her daughter.
Front left Duffryn Stonechat.
Hope you enjoyed a walk around...

Thanks for posting the pictures. Always enjoy them and thank you for preserving the woodmagic herd. I have two separate herds one heavy in woodmagic and another herd the Colorado herd that is a 50 year closed herd in the US.

In that case Mike it may interest you that I'm collecting an almost pure Woodmagic bull at the moment, he is out of Nutlin Ginger Spice, she was about 90% Woodmagic ( the bits of Spice that weren't Wm came from herds that Beryl used for foundation stock,) and by Woodmagic Hedgehog 4th. His name is Duffryn Bevis. Although I collected Hedgehog 4th I couldn't send the straws to The US, I am hoping perhaps I can in the future but at the moment red tape won't allow it.

stephanie, thanks for sharing your lovely farm! Your animals are splendid, and so is your farm! I love seeing your herd and how you're carrying on where Beryl left off. It sounds like you organized a lovely day, and I can see why people stayed so long. I wish I could have been there.
