Guthrie was born Nov. 20, 2016, of Dexter Downs Cracker Jack and Dexter Downs Boudica, who are both amiable and easy to handle and can be seen at Four Creeks Ranch near Benton, Arkansas (not far from Little Rock). Guthrie is weaned, vaccinated, has been taught to lead (some), is friendly, allows his coat to be brushed and ticks to be picked off him. Likes his jaws to be scratched. He has A2/A2 milk lines, and is a parent-verified non-carrier of both Chondro and PHA. Fifty percent of his offspring should be polled. He will be registered with the ADCA by the time of sale. He has been raised on non-GMO alfalfa pellets, milk and grass. His dam, Boudica, was sired by Hiyu Saturn's Warlord (a known producer of good milkers), and Dexter Downs Mauva. This is Boudica's first lactation and she has been milked some, although the amount she gives was hard to quantify early in her lactation. Since Guthrie was weaned at six months, she's producing about a gallon a day. Her milk tastes good and lasts 21 days in the refrigerator under optimal conditions. It also makes good cheese and frozen yogurt. So Guthrie has the capability of passing on good milking traits. Asking $1,700. Would like a deposit to hold him. He's ready to go anytime.
