Another Possible Genetic Defect for the Angus Breed

Genetic defects are in all breeds of cattle. Some of them are more severe than others.
The Angus breed is in the beginning stages of trying to find out if they are dealing with a new "abnormal trait".

Why am I posting this on a Dexter forum? Genes can mutate in any breed. It pays to be observant and possible head off anything in The Dexter breed.

Nice to see associations working to eliminate defective genes. Wish the Dexter people had been more forthcoming with pha...we even knew the source and would have been able to follow it through pedigrees, but not everyone is altruistic.
