Wow, I'm so excited that we may have a class for Dexters at our Tulsa State Fair this year. I have a couple of calves born this spring that I want to get ready to show, but I'm not very good at it. Has anyone ever had FFA or 4H kids show their cattle?? I had thought about talking to the ag teacher at the local schools and see if I could get something like that worked out. I don't know how it works though..............Anyway, all you Okies and neighbors, think about coming to Tulsa this fall. P.J.

I don't know if is the same everywhere but here in Indiana each chapter has it own rules. In some states they have an open class, but here we do not. So you must have at least 5 entries to show. Most follow the states guidelines because that is the ultimate goal, to win at the state fair. Also here your animal must be born and bread in the county where it is initially shown. Good Luck. You can likely pick up a set of rules at your local Ag extension office.
