That is CRAZY snow! How often do you guys get snow like that. I think it's snowed enough to gather a snow ball here were we are maybe 2-3 times in my life. Never anything like this. Glad you guys made it through!

We got somewhere between 4 and 6 inches here. Looks deep in those pics, P.J. And when the snow was coming down, it was really thick this time - I'm glad you cought it in your pics, the wind blowing, the flakes flying, the cattle hunkered down with butt toward the wind.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Loved those of your herd in the blowing snow as well as the beautiful scenery that you enjoy on your farm. Your cattle look like they are in wonderful condition to manage this weather. The little calves is a very nice babies. You do have alot of duns. What is funny is that under all of that snow was melted snow or ice as water pooled in most places that I or the cows stepped. I guess that the ground was still so warm. So at our place it makes for a mess to get through some places like our driveway and now the call is for rain. Ready for sunshine here in Oklahoma so if anyone as any of that send it our way.

Oh my gosh PJ, hope we never have anything like that down here. Sure is pretty, but dang it looks cold. Is that donkey for guarding? Do you still have you black and white cattle? I can't remember if they were Pinzgauers or not.

I knew my Texas Dexter "cousins" would get a kick out of the pictures We don't usually get this kind of snow, but we've been hit twice this year. It's sure a mess when it starts to melt, which is thankfully starting. I measured almost 8 inches of snow, when it was all over. The donkey was for guarding the goats, but I've sold them. She's just a little pest now. She still guards the pasture, no strange "dogs" ie, coyotes, or neighbors bassett hounds, are allowed in her pasture. No, Barb, I sold my black and white cattle, they were angusXlonghorns and I got some great Dexter calves out of them, and they all had the same color. Glad everyone got a kick out of the pics, and yes Shelia, we are ready for some sun shine!! P.J.
