Sorry it took me so long to see this reply! I forget how much $$ it was in the Japanese currency, but I didnt care. I told hubby the ONLY thing I cared about seeing/doing over there was to try Kobe beef. LOL. Priorities and all... It was certainly more white than red, but the most tender piece of meat you would ever put in your mouth. There is a butcher shop near us, that sells it by the pound ($54 a pound!). I have not bit the bullet yet, and now with the nuclear crisis in Japan, I don't know if I dare.  Sunapee is 2 towns over from me, about 40 min. You got relatives there? too funny, small world! |
