My 1 month old calf seems to have an underbite, about 1/2 an inch. The vet is coming out next week, to do horns and tattoo so I will ask him then. So I guess my question is, this isnt normal, is it? will it affect her later on do you think?

Don't worry about the underbite. I've seen this in lots of Dexters (don't have experience with other breeds). It seems to have to do with nursing...easier to grab onto a teat and hold it. I've never seen one remain...it always goes as the calf ages, usually in my experience by a couple of months at the very latest. c.

vet was out yesterday (for some routine stuff) and he said normal too. once she starts getting older, it should go away. Amazing how mother nature provides, isnt it?
