I have to admit, I hate vaccinating animals. Along with vaccinating, we also tattooed a few and put fly tags in.
Half of the herd is done, the other half we'll finish out tomorrow, my nerves are fried and my bones are achy. I'm a wuss, my husband has to pre-medicate me.
I don't understand why it never gets any easier.

Yep, me too, I don't like it. It was easier for me this year, now that our herd is much smaller.

Rick,
I'll give you a dollar discount per every animal you work, you can put that toward a brand spanking new polled red heifer.
As an added bonus, I'll give you a discount of $2.00 per animal to dehorn the last 2 horned animals in my herd.

Barb The only problem with that math is that it will take me $250 in diesel to get down there. Maybe I can ride my lawn mower down there.

YIKES!! $250.00 in diesel.....I'm trying to picture you on your lawnmower driving down 281. How many hours do you think it would take on your mower?

I just happen to have a couple very nice buggy horses for sale, they are fast too since they used to race.....and they eat minimally........................hurry cause as the price of fuel goes up so does the price of the horses!

Barb I think I will wait for a strong north wind to help get me down there. I might make it by Labor day. It has always been a dream of mine to get a Amish buggy and a horse to pull it. Do not tempt me on the horse.

Well Rick, I doubt that a north wind will be here anytime soon, today we had temps in the mid 80's, tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 90's. I think you should get one of onthebits buggy horses, and hook it up to your lawn mower. Well if your not able to make it to my place, hopefully we'll see you at the AGM in Belton.

Don't laugh about the riding lawn mower. I had an old german sailor at one church. He was so old he sailed for Germany when the boats still had sails. When he burned out the engine in his van, Fritz would ride his lawn mower the 10 or so miles to town to buy his beer!
