We got our test results back from Legacy!!! We've been genotyped, recorded, and our parentage has been verified. No PHA and A2 to boot!!! One long-legged and two shorties just like we hoped. All from one sample. Very Easy. Oh Yeah, Mom's happy too.

Looks like home to me !!!! Flatlanders just can't understand the connection to our rocky mountain sides and tops.
Beautiful, and congrats on the initiative to test and the great results....I have 5 to do complete workups on.....first I have to corner them and pull hairs. Our mix is very close to yours....shorty's and long.

That picture could be on a calender....Beautiful. Congratulations on the test results. Hoping we have the same good luck. We are serious flatlanders and would love to live somewhere else. We are in SW Florida and flat is an understatement. But one must live where there is work these days Maybe someday, just maybe we can live somewhere different. What is your weather like, is it very hot there? What about rain. It looks like you have nice pasture. Holly

Hey Guys thanks for all the compliments on the farm. The place was pretty run down when we got it. It is one of the original home places in this area. No one knows exactly how old the barn is. Even the oldest of the neighbors talk about playing in the "big old barn" as children. It's kind of neat I think. It has taken a lot of work but it has been worth it. We love it here. WV is a great place to live. Our area is very laid back and quiet. It's home. The mountains protect us and they are so beautiful. The testing was very easy, once we got the hairs. My girls weren't too keen on the idea so I got them while they were being vaccinated. One trip through the headgate.
The weather has greatly improved here. We were in a terrible drought earlier but it broke in mid July. We are getting some rain now, steady but not alot; enough to grow grass. You can still walk across the river and not get wet and the ponds are way down. It has been this way for months. The temps have come down too. We are so thankful and pray everyone will get rain too.
