In preparation (aka scramble) for the MO Show and Sale, I sent off tail hairs for testing to UC Davis, via Legacy. Samples were received on Mon, Sept. 24. On Wed, Sept. 26 I received the A2 milk test results - both A2/A2! Very happy but confused: I'd thought that I'd ordered chondo testing, not A2 testing. Judy immediately put in a rush order on chondro. Some time later, to my embarrassment, I figured out that I'd changed my mind at the last minute and had indeed signed up for A2 and omitted the chondro (because I'm 100% sure that my cows are chondro neg, and the bull is tested chondro neg). So anyway, feeling like a fool with a sieve for a brain, I apologized to Judy but still voiced my hope that the results for all the tests will come in before Sunday, Sept. 30 - which is the deadline for the MO show and sale. Well, my results arrived today, Sept. 28, between 2 and 3 in the morning! Talk about expediency! Goes without saying, that I'm beside myself that both calves are chondro negative (of course) and PHA negative (what a relief!) And the genotyping results were forwarded to TA&M in order to have Jaxon's ADCA registration in the works. I'm happy beyond measure and thankful to Judy and the UC Davis lab!

Yay! Great story, I love it when things work out. I was VERY happy with the turnaround time when testing through Legacy with UCD. Congratulations again.
