Thanks Patti, I should have been more clear. I routinely use "genotyping" to refer to parentage verification.

I think I will have PHa test polled test chrondo. These look to be the most needed. I am new to registered and DNA testing what should I have done on my females. Does the testing pay for itself when you go to selling the Calves or is it just kind of cool to know.

Does the testing pay for itself when you go to selling the Calves or is it just kind of cool to know. As far as I'm concerned, when you're buying an animal and expecting the sire and dam to be what was told/stated to you or listed on the ADCA website you expect it to be true. Accidents do happen.... Then when you the buyer have the animal parentage verified only to find out SURPRISE wrong sire or wrong dam. How would you feel? It happened to me with the purchase of a heifer, wrong sire shocked wasn't the only feeling I had. I want my buyers to feel confident that when I tell them that they are out of a certain sire & dam, that's who their out of. My proof is parentage verification.
