Lindon: as of 1994, the embryos imported, implanted and successfully hatched were:
Bindalee Celtic Chieftan = Trillium Cluny x Woodmagic Mourning Dove 2nd Small Time Ebony = Trillium Cluny x Woodmagic Wheatear Small Time Edun = ditto Crest Hill Emir = ditto Rivendell Elrond Halfelven = ditto Three Springs Conan = ditto Romarc Filander = Riverhill Saturn's Galaxy x Romarc Primrose (actually imported in utero) This is the bull on the cover of the AI Bull Review I put out years (and years) ago.
Crest Hill Estelle = Trillium Cluny x Woodmagic Wheatear Three Springs Caroline = ditto Three Springs Camella = ditto Three Springs Clarisa = ditto
Just thinking, no wonder pha turned up in AU, with all those Wheatear embryos.
hope this helps. There were dozens of other embryos drawn from imported semen over imported live cows. But I think you weren't including those? cheers, c.

Successfully hatched - love the term !!! Thanks so very much for that info too - have copied it down. It certainly has helped
Yep know of Bindalee Celtic Chieftain - we have one of his sons. And I have gone back though mums side and ended up with imports at the end of the pedigree and not a grade-up in sight. Her 'Australian' pedigree ends with Cally of Old Orchard.
Is that listing of successfully ‘hatched’ embryos only from the US or is that the entire listing into Australia?
Your comment re: There were dozens of other embryos drawn from imported semen over imported live cows. But I think you weren't including those? cheers, c.
Yep, I would like this listing as well.
Again I would like to check on their descendants to see who ended up with grade-ups in the lines and who did not.
Thank you so very much yet again......

Lindon, You are so lucky to be able to trace your cattle so far back in their ancestry. A lady just posted on another board that she's trying to limit her herd of mini-Jerseys to only those whose pedigrees go back two generations. I'll bet she'd kill to be in your shoes. Gene, While we can trace our pedigrees knowingly that they are accurate as bloodtyping and DNA testing has provided for, I am yet to embark on our moos ancestry searching for pedigrees in USA, Canada and South Africa..........but knowing those pedigrees' accuracy will not anywhere as high in value as their claim....which is going to be a real shame !!!

Hi C (Jamboru may be able to comment if I have this right or not - her mum had emailed me about Wheatear at one stage and I just cant find it quickly at the moment) From memory, I am sure I was told that while Wheatear 'could' have been the culprit - there's something about those descendents who were tested had come back negative............??!!! Hate it when I cant quickly find specific emails when I want them....... I will search out my dexter folders for it now...................

Actually, now that you mention it, I do remember something about them not being carriers. Must have been a senior moment. If you have questions, why not contact one of the Margarets? Looking you up, probably the closest would be Margaret Weir? She's incredibly knowledgeable, has always been helpful that I know of, and so much of what seems ***new*** info is often old hat to her. She'd be able to put you straight on most of your questions, and you can trust her input (and if I remember correctly, she'll hardly roll her eyes at all ). cheers, c.
