Well, after an overwhelming round of thanks for filming the AGM and posting the first two segments of video on YouTube.......I have detected the first faint odor of rotting carrion, signaling that there may be something amiss on the "back 40".
It has been suggested by (someone in a position of authority) that without the permission of everyone involved, to show them, it may be illegal to show the videos in public...
I am going to let this play out.....and I will let the circumstances speak for themselves.....This was a public show, held in a public arena, with no expectation of privacy. The videos are raw footage of the show, with no editing or specific focus.....AND NO PROFIT IS BEING DERIVED FROM THE FILMING OR PRESENTATION. My email is on my profile page....all it will take is an email from a Grand Wizard, Chief Potentate, or Head Wrangler......and I will immediately delete the videos.
You all may comment freely AFTER....AFTER PLEASE...I receive some confirmation of the legality of leaving them up. I took the videos as a learning tool for myself....It seems that they may become more of a tool for ALL, than I ever imagined.
IF ANYONE HAS A PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF DISPLAY IN THESE REGARDS....PLEASE ADVISE.
then....YOU ALL CAN HAVE AT EACH OTHER over the sensibility.......MOOOOOOOOO .....

As far as I understand it, there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Plus, you are not using these pics/vids for commercial purposes. "When it comes to children, the legal guardian has the right to allow or disallow photos to be published. Foster children are wards of the state and they really need releases if any close up shots of them are published," (W. Reeder, atu.edu). Per request, any pics/vids that have a close up shot of a minor where he/she are easily identifiable can be removed.

THANKS Charles.....on a skim reading....I'm safe.....We are OK.
Now that the guns are holstered....IF ANYONE IS OFFENDED OR DISTRESSED BY THEIR PORTRAYAL IN THE VIDEOS....I WILL REMOVE THEIR IMAGES ASAP. ANY offense is unintended, and I am willing to accommodate any request. AND, I am not offended to be asked to do so. Honestly....I never gave i a thought.
To pass on to everyone, the horrors that the folks who might be offended COULD carry around in their heads......
It was just over 20 years ago that I had rented space in an arena in that very same fairgrounds to do a weekend booth selling our early furniture.
Google..."Springfield MO....3 missing women".....Stacy Streeter, Her mother Sheryl Levitt, and Janice(?) McCall disappeared after graduating from High School....DISAPPEARED TOGETHER....FOREVER.....AND WITHOUT A TRACE TO THIS DAY. ABDUCTED FROM THEIR HOME.
GONE FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH.....
I cancelled my booth rental and went back in my burrow the following Monday..... UNNERVING...you don't know what unnerving is until you get a taste of that in your back yard.
ANYONE who does not want their images in public has my complete cooperation.

This is an item that should be addressed in future AGM Shows & Sales. The entry forms could include a release/disclaimer that this is a public event and that photography and videotaping is allowed.
I certainly agree with you on how scary the world can be at times. While I was at the AGM in Iowa a few years ago, our neighbor was murdered by a serial killer, who went on to kill a few more people in this vicinity before finally being shot by police. He was approaching farms inquiring about buying hay!

That is the most hair-raising thing I have heard for a little while at least  You know it is possible - but you just never think it would come to light. How horrible! |
