Nice heifer calf from a Chondro (BD1) carrier first calver. Any predictions on how chondro test might come out? --Tony Attachments:

I'd guess non-chondro. In the second picture you see a long neck and the length of the rear legs - I think a chondro-carrier would've had shorter neck and shorter body/legs.

Thanks Olga
That was my thought too at the time of birth (bottom picture). However at 4 days old (top picture) it seems less leggy!

Hi Tony, I'd go non-chondro too from the photos, but would prefer to see a close up of her head, fetlocks and pasterns and over her back before I'd make a firm comment. These are the areas that I look at newborns to decide, but then I'd send off tail hairs to test for confirmation. regards louise

Well, the test is in and . . . she is a carrier! Oh well, will get mother in calf and see if there is someone who would like to buy a "cute" mother, daughter, unborn baby package!

Tony- Could you post a more recent pic please? Is it becoming more obvious? Thanks

Here are some photos taken today with calf 3 weeks old. Yes , I think a little more obvious - getting a more "blocky" look. --Tony
