With those eyes she looks like she's lost. Very cute calf! We'll make room for her here :-)

Speaking of weaning, strange thing happened here. Was in England recently and got a call to say that some of the cows were jumping this 7 month heifer, so figured she was cycling for the first time. Well she cycled and then Mom weaned her, I was worried about Moms udder as she is quite a heavy milker and it has taken almost a week for it to start going down. It was strange the way it happened, but calf does not try to feed at all. I wondered if either were sick so kept a good eye on them both, but nothing. Now was it the cycling that signaled time to wean or.... any ideas? I would say it was hot here for a while to, easiest and quietest weaning ever! This was also the cow that raised her previous calf, a bull, on just two teats, calf only could ever keep up with two and the other 2 dried up, first time I ever had that happen also.
