Yum yum, eat your antibiotics with your cultured 'meat', necessary for lab cultures to survive..

I'm wondering who will be the first to post with pictures of their new addition to their culture herd?

Wow - I am a biologist and like innovation, but that is just gross! Hard to imagine that becoming a viable option in the future.

Sounds way too much like some old sci-fi shows. Very Un-nerving. I think I'll just keep the girls.

On a side note that isn't nearly as weird as meat grown in a lab, the Michigan Tart Cherry Association did some meat experiments a while back to further the sales of cherries. In taste tests, they found that grinding hamburger with up to about 50% cherries produced a product that most testers couldn't detect as not being 100% beef--and most rated the "meat" as better than the 100% ground beef control test. I guess it might be a viable way to cut the fat down in burger meat if one were inclined to do such things.
I keep saying that I'll try it one of these days but.....I'd generally rather eat cherries as cherries.
