This is Chad...he is our herd sire for the time being. Dun, dehorned. Wonderful laid back personality...although I limit my interaction with him due to the fact that he gets too friendly. He is approximately 18 months old. The heifer in the back is our youngest named Kimmi. Edit to add that in this picture Chad was only 14 months of age.

I'll be if you have him scored, he'll be close to 90--or better! Hard to fault. Congrats. c.

Wow...thanks for the nice comments guys! Especially about the house. My wife and I worked hard for years to save and we had it built 10 years ago. We are proud of it and the hard work it took to get there Regarding Chad...I am a little disappointed in his muscling in the rear end...I wish he packed a little more "beef" back there. He is a very friendly fellow...he gets very excited when I come to the pasture running around and wanting to be rubbed on. I try to keep things in check as I don't want to become one of those statistics with a bull that got a little too friendly. One question...CDDexter...what do you mean by have him scored and what is a 90 or better mean? I do not show any cattle and I am assuming that is a score from the show ring? I am attaching another picture of him from later this past summer for further comments. Thanks to everyone for the reviews!!

He's a nice looking boy, I see he's out of Wieringa's Ned, who was a pretty nice bull and he had a nice temperament, but he started getting a bit cranky when he got older. He didn't like the show circuit much. We have a nice little bull calf out of our bull Mike and a grandson of Ned that we think is going to turn out nicely. I wouldn't worry too much about his back end right now, he's still got some growing to do and the back end usually comes last. Don't pet him on the head...and don't let him mug you for treats, make sure he knows you are the boss.
