As the Fantasy and SciFi minions begin their yearly pilgrimage to Dragoncon in Atlanta, word got out that there was a secret mountain farm where Hobbits raised giant rabbits, micro pigs, and tiny cattle, and where a crow ruled the house from a velvet covered throne... The OneRing.net attendees could not resist following the fable.
This was a group of folks, from California, who coordinate the Tolkien fan clubs and follow the movie releases....and basically geeks-out on anything to do with the Tolkien sagas.....So, streaming live (great connection with our mountaintop link to a line-of-sight 4G cell tower) the world watched as they climbed the mountain into the cool mist shrouded peak (a huge rainbird sprinkler running in the field) and found.....
Jenny, Alana, and Chris, and their giant rabbits, little bitty pigs, and tiny cattle....AND EVERYONE WAS OVERWHELMED BY THE EXPERIENCE..... actually petting a, (usually the encounter is always fatal) Dexter Bull. Oz was THE PERFECT gentleman...and he does love the ladies scratching him...."anywhere you want to scratch, girls".
So, thousands of fans watched as they toured the farm and interacted with the livestock. The Dexters got some good press....and they were extremely awed by the experience. Especially the tall glasses of cold " is this from the cow?", Dexter milk..... "NO WAY..."...."unreal"...."essence of milk".
