I think most shows allow the temp clamp on rings.

Show rules! They are made to insure crowd safety, generally with great big bulls in mind. I guess it's best that way, but I draw the line at putting a ring in my bull's nose. Ouch! Same with us Genebo. We dont want to put rings in our bulls' noses so have concluded that showing wont be for us, at least with our boys. But the maintaining of condition, clipping and grooming practices we do follow. Just trimmed everyone’s tails on the weekend and they look soooooo much neater for it Showing is such an expensive 'day out' that we are putting those funds into advertising which leads to another issue - we cant take decent photos - but we are looking at ads of other breeds and trying to replicate. Thank goodness for digital

Great idea, I never thought of setting the resolution lower, and yes, the advertising enquiries we have been undertaking are all asking for the minimum of 1mega for the pics. The camera is a beaut - Nikon D90 and I have a great zoom lens so I dont even have to be near the moos - its just the user Im afraid Its the angle thing, taking pics at the correct angle and correct height to show off the best attributes is my weakness. And yes, we would like to think [hope] that one day we breed for someone else's success in the showring - that would be just as exciting as being there ourselves
