Very pretty little heifer Gene. I am sure they are going to love her.
I like the blue halter. Esther Lynn is getting ready to go to her new home out in Ohio, and she has the same one. We're working together every day. I'll have to get a picture.

Yep, same halter. And I know what you mean. I am so thrilled. She is going to a great home, but it is hard. She is my first dexter calf, first dexter born on our place. And I am so attached... She is leaving for Morning Star Farm in just a few days now. I know Carole is going to take good care of her, and she is going to do great. I'm so glad she is going to such a good home/breeder. Here are a few pics. Funny thing is this has been and still is a learning experience for both of us. All new! But I think we are doing very well. I started slow and worked a little every day. Listening to her and seeing what she was comfortable with. Not pushing, but just trying to do a little more each time and work towards our goal. And I think we're just about there. I slip the collar on when I give her a little sweet feed. She wears it happily and I give her a good scratch and rub down. Then we practice walking around the little calf pen while I talk/sing to her. She's doing so great!!! Never a harsh word or anything that could frighten her. When she needs to stop and think, we do. And then when she's ready, we move on. Now, we are not ready for a show yet, but I am very pleased. She is such a good girl. Knobley Esther Lynn sire: Legacy Jams Dunder dam: CHW Caitlyn

Congratulations Gene - I hope you had a safe trip today. Bennan's calf B Muse was dehorned today; she is doing great. She was a tremendous hit at the Assisted Living Facility yesterday!

Interesting way of fitting your halters, we fit ours so that they put pressure under the chin, not behind the ears and head. We make our own from silver rope and they are the best halters. They fit from big bulls to small calves with quick and easy adjustment

I need to see if our TS has sheep halters. I haven't seen them, but sometimes I really have to look for cow stuff so maybe it's the same. You're making me think about the hard part of selling a young'un you've bred and worked with. Sniff!
