Hi Everyone, I'm not computer literate, but am trying to post photos using Photobucket, not sure this will work. It didn't!!!!! Ok, I'm trying again I hope the photo shows. This is Erinmore. She is a 3 yo, 2nd calver, graded up cow, (from Galloway/Angus cross) chondro carrier. She's about 97 cm tall, I think that is about 38inches. She is in early lactation, and milked 12 litres (somewhere between 2 1/2 and 3 gallon) plus feeding a young calf. We weaned her last calf at 10 months, and didn't have any trouble drying her up. We kept her feeding the calf as she is prone to put on too much weight. I'll try and put some photos of that calf on the meat thread, he is almost ready for slaughter. I'll try and put on some other photos of different views. We are concerned at her udder in that she is only on her 2nd lactation and her udder is already at her hocks. She has good attachment and suspension, but is it good enough to last her lifetime? regards Louise Here's hoping this worked

Louise, it is very straight forward to upload the photos directly from your computer. You can include 3 photos (I think) with any one post. From the row of buttons that are across the top hold mouse over the top and you will get a bubble that tells you what they are. One will be for adding photos. The other important fact is that the photos cannot be too big. You may need to reduce them before uploading (this generally applies when emailing photos too) to get them down to a few hundred kilobytes rather than 5 megabytes.
Hope that helps.

Hi Tony, I can put them on here straight from my computer, but it's just that Olgas prefers us to use Photobucket or the likes to save on storage space. I'm going to try Tinypic, as advised by another forum I'm on, it's apparently easier to use. So, here goes again Yay!!! It worked. Sorry their a bit blurry, but you can get an idea of what her udder is like. regards Louise

Thanks for posting these Louise, glad you figured it out. I certainly am not qualified to make any judgements about whether her udder will last a lifetime of calving, but she definitely looks like she'd handle a calf with plenty left over for family use. Certainly the type of attachment I need to be aiming for in my herd. When I copy pics for posting from photobucket, in the box marked "links to share this photo", I click on the IMG link. Hope you post more pics!
