Hi Everyone, this is one of our bulls, "Carragheen Red Ranger", aka Red. Not the most original of names, but that's what he got stuck with He's 2 1/2 yrs old, non chondro, non PHA. He is a bit taller than what he looks in the photo, just the photo angle. A friend wanted a photo of him, and he was so patient being repositioned over and again, me not so, I'd had enough by then re hand on hip She didn't take a closeup though, she wanted the scenery in the background. She could have at least left me out of it in my daggy work clothes. UGH! regards Louise

Louise, all I see is a good looking bull set against a backdrop of beautiful countryside and a lady in the finest pasture wear of the season

I'm glad she put you in there because now I see how to get my animals to hold their heads up like that when I want a photo! Obviously it takes two to screw in this light bulb, which is usually my problem--how to get the animal to look right when I'm holding the camera AND trying to make them pose! I agree with ladena!

Susan, do most of your pics end up as close ups of noses? lol That's usually what mine look like. Having two people definitely gets better pics.

Yes, ladena, I have quite a few of those! They're too darn friendly and curious--and you never know, the camera might be good to eat! LOL!

Hi Louise
Great length, good top-line and very clean and tight around the pizzle, from the photo he looks very good. Also developing a nice crest.

Thanks Joel and Ian for the nice comments. I've only joined him to a few heifers and a couple of older cows so far. Unfortunately we have mainly had bull calves and only 2 heifers from him. The bull calves have all been steered. He has been great for heifers, his calves were all low birth weight. I like a nice crest too Ian, shows masculinity and fertility. He is more muscled than his sire "Justin", which he gets from his dams side.
Here are a few that I took the other day of him, hard to get his head up and keeping still LOL, I resorted to food.
Here is a photo of one of his heifer calves, she is now 8 months old, still un-named.
regards Louise

What a handsome fellow, I love his butt. Well actually I like everything about him. I always tell my husband not to get me in the picture, I wear the same farm clothes as you LOL

Hi Louise I will add to the above, good feet and testicles. I like the curve to rear in the testicles, it a good sign of him passing on good rear attachment to his heifers.
