OK one of our new calves is a chocolate brown color his nose is a little lighter in color than all of the black cows but nothing as light as the reds. He has dark circles around his eyes and a dark tail. If this is a Dunn he will be our first and only he is a polled bull calf. Does any one think this is a Dunn calf?

Sounds dun to me, that would pretty cool, because I don't know of too many polled dun bulls. I'm trying for some next year..........P.J.

What is his pedigree? Although the only real way to confirm colour is dna a pedigree will give a big hint about what he might carry or not.... Liz

the dun cattle come in so many shades, from dark red to light tan. I have three dun bulls now and all are different. One is just the color of dark auburn, he's almost a mahogony, really beautifull, too bad he'll probably be in the freezer next year........... P.J.
