Ok...had to add a couple felfies. I had given up on our first calf heifer ever calving, so I let her out of the paddock to the pasture. Of course, she calved within a couple hours...dang Dexters never want to share in their "birthing experience" . He's a Mini-Jersey/Dexter cross and will be registered as a Mini-Jersey if he turns out to be a good herd sire prospect...sure wish he'd have been a she!! Me and the kiddos picked the new baby, Dibs, up on the golf cart...I was driving and apparently this is what the boys were doing in the back. Love all y'all's pics!

Those are all really great pics, thanks all for sharing. I like any & all pics of other's cattle, and to see some human face to go with is nice . Emily & Louise, you 2 make me want to go cozy up to our bull... I love to scratch those cheeks.

This is a Strelfie--a selfie in a truck! This is me holding Wellie on our way home from our 90 mile round trip to run him to the vet. He curled up on my lap and went to sleep like a kitten. Who knew a calf could be a lap pet? This is not a strelfie, but it's one my DH took of me before we got home because it was such a sweet experience I wanted to remember it. He was waking up, but not trying to stand up yet. Having done it both ways, I can promise you that holding a 72 pound calf in your lap is MUCH easier than trying to help one stay on its feet as you zip around curvy roads! I have a few bruises on my legs to prove the point.

Technically that's not a felfie Bruff, but a great photo nonetheless

Awww! They're both so cute! Poor baby looks terrified, though, I think she needs more practice!
