Olga just wondering if you had to pull that "vehicle" over any weigh scales, and if so what kind of comments/looks did it get you. Only mention this because I once pulled up to a Utah scale in a half ton GMC short bed with an 8ft. Cattle rack in the bed with plywood to fill in the 2ft holes in the back , and a 1400 lb Red Angus bull in the back. The trooper in the house got on the loud speaker and told me to "get that d----d contraption off of his scale before it broke down and clogged the weigh line for "real" trucks your pic made me laugh out loud as soon as it popped up, and brought back some humorous memories.....thanks

You're welcome! You are right, I do get the looks and sometimes I'm even able to read lips of the astonished fellow motorists. Especially on the few rare occasions that I was hauling a horse through town. By the way, that trailer is an heirloom like the Irish Dexters, it was built by my husband's grandpa.

Lower Delaware
Was it hard to convince him to get in?

It was easier with him than with the heifer. The heifer tried twice to walk by the trailer instead of into it, and when we "finally" got her head in the right direction, I had to push on her butt to urge her to step on forward. The bull on the other hand knows that every trailer ride is a romantic getaway. He jumped right in after Justus.

Good Trailer Olga. It works and it was your Grandpa's. We call that a "Family Heirloom". I'm just not so sure I'd want to be following you all too close down the road. LOL

We had a guy purchase three sheep from us. He brought his wife's sedan, had the back seat covered with a blanket, and just shoved the sheep right in. They were mostly up in a sitting position. He had about 20 miles to go to haul them home. I hope the drivers next to him focused on the road, rather than the little sheep faces steaming up the inside of his windows! I also hope his wife didn't kill him. He was a nice man...

I have REALLY enjoyed the above posts!!! The last one in particular reminded me of something I did in my youth. We farmed another farm a few miles away and my dad had taken the rams from here to the ewes at that farm but left the one old ram in the field here, my dad was off to market for the rest of the day. I had argued that the old ram should have gone with the ewes. After dad left I got thinking and eyed up my mums little mini elf...a very small car!!! I was only 17 and had just passed my test. Having tipped the seats forward, the very large Suffolk ram got in the back with some difficulty, there are only front doors! My seat wouldn't go right back down and I drove three and half miles tilted forwards with my seat leaning on a ram!!! Got to the field, opened the gate and drove in with the ewes but he wouldn't get out until I brought the ladies too him, then he made an effort and I gave him a push! I had put a harness on him and he marked more ewes than the younger rams, then broke out and found some hill sheep and impregnated 10 of the neighbours ewes that had 18 lambs before dad took him to market.....I felt vindicated and he certainly enjoyed his last few weeks! That's funny! I guess he didn't want to get out because he wanted you just to drive him to the neighbor's sheep...
